saw this in the sky over our house, it was 90+ and no rain any where around. thought it looked cool so i took a pic of it

This is not a rainbow but a so called halo [link]
It is created by light refraction by hexagonal ice crystals in the high atmosphere.

I love them since I've seen them the first time and I'm always hunting for them when I have my camera with me. This is my most impressive shot of a halo: [link]
